I remember being at this beautiful station back in the 80s with my uncle to catch a train to go back to our hometown in Tampin. Kuala Lumpur Railway Station was a major train hub and hence the place was filled with people.

Since then, I have been back at the Station a few times to get on a commuter train and a few days ago, I was there again but just to visit. The Station was no longer as crowded as it used to be, perhaps because there is now a major transportation hub called KL Sentral.

The Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station was built in 1892 (see description in one of the photos). This beautiful spot is right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur, it is connected to the Pasar Seni LRT station through an above-the-ground walkway and it is near the National Mosque.

Here are photos of the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.
