A new landmark called Skyrides Festivals Park has just started to open its door to visitors since early May in Putrajaya. The Park is adjacent to the Millennium Monument or Monumen Alaf Baru at Precinct 2. It’s got some cool features including Skyrides Balloon, SkyGallery, SkyKids and SkyWarrior.

SkyWarrior is built with obstacles. The fee is RM10 only and with unlimited tries.

The Skyrides Balloon meanwhile is also a major attraction. Visitors can have a 360-degree view of Putrajaya from the above. It is also said to be “Malaysia’s 1st biggest tethered balloon ride.” With MyKad the fee is RM38 for adults and RM30 for kids. It costs more without MyKad.

According to information on the Park’s website:

“Soaring to more than 100 metres above ground, the SkyRides Balloon is the largest helium balloon of its kind to be hosted in Malaysia. Climbing to a steady ascend of 30 metres per minute, it offers astonishing unimpeded panoramic views of the Putrajaya skyline encompassing the magnificent Prime Minister’s office and federal administrative complexes, the Floating Mosque, all five iconic bridges linking the “island” to the “mainland”, the Millennium Tower and extending beyond more than 50 kilometres all around. Its gondola holds 30 passengers at any one time. “

The Park’s website is www.skyridesfestivals.com and Facebook page at www.facebook.com/skyridesfestivals

I got my first glimpse of the Park last Saturday when I took a walk in the area. Had a great time checking out the various features. Perhaps I’ll come back soon to give SkyWarrior a shot! 🙂

Here are some photos of the Park.
