The 5th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Precinct 2 is one of a kind attraction which I had a chance to enjoy, twice!
The Fiesta went on for four days from Thursday till Sunday and I managed to get there on Friday and Saturday.
There were already balloons taken off the ground with riders in their baskets when I arrived at around 9 am on Friday morning. Some folks were spotted queuing up for a turn to ride a balloon.
Vendors were selling various sorts of entertainment packs and fun rides to the crowds. There were bumper orbs, water balls, wall climbing, car simulators, segway rides and other activities especially for children to enjoy.
Being in the area I couldn’t let go of an opportunity to walk over to the nearby Millennium Monument (Monumen Alaf Baru) for the first time.
Visitors that morning were also entertained by a group of paramotors.
Stalls were setup to sell foods, drinks, toys and many more goodies. By the way, a foot massage service could also be found there!
Meanwhile, the Night Glow event on Saturday evening was awesome to watch – a different kind of experience than my previous daylight visit. Huge inflated balloons (one of them was in a shape of Smurf) on location were glowing (thanks to fires from burners!) in synchronization with loud music, had put up an interesting show for visitors.
Finally, the fireworks show following the Night Glow was a nice wrap up of the evening visit.
Up, up and away!
