Masjid Putra (Putra Mosque) is located near the Prime Minister’s office (Putra Perdana) and Dataran Putra (Putra Square) in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
Construction of the Mosque had started in 1997 and completed in 1999, as mentioned on the Mosque’s website at www.masjidputra.gov.my.
The Level G of the main prayer hall area (Dewan Solat Utama) has a capacity of 8000 people, whereas the space on Level 1 of that main prayer hall can accommodate 2000 people (Source: Masjid Putra website).
